Set on a generous rectangular plot, this project brings together residences for two brothers, distinct in their character, yet united by a shared family sensibility. One home speaks a contemporary architectural language, designed to serve two generations with comfort and sophisticated preferences.
Planning follows Vastu principles, with the entrance and living block anchored along the north edge. A central circulation spine organizes the home, separating public and private realms while keeping movement through the house easy and intuitive. Both shorter facades open to landscaped gardens on the east and west, drawing in soft morning light from one side and warm evening sun from the other. Master bedrooms occupy the southwest corner, each with expansive decks and balconies. On the opposite end, the kitchen, dining and informal living areas spill onto semi-covered decks, keeping the connection to the garden close and constant. The staircase at the point of arrival, becomes the home's statement, sculptural and subtly dramatic.
Their requirement called for four bedrooms including two master suites, dry and wet kitchens, formal and informal living zones, a dedicated dining space and an entertainment lounge that flows onto an open terrace. From the outset, the client's priorities were clear, this should be a home that breathes, one where indoor and outdoor life blur naturally and where shaded outdoor spaces invite the family to linger at any hour of the day.
The composition is clean and geometric, with bold cantilevers pushing outward to create floating horizontal planes. These provide shade, frame views and give the home its distinctive presence. Natural stone cladding, large glazed openings, marble flooring and warm timber paneling form a material palette that is both refined and rooted in context.
Nearly half the site is given back to landscape. Gardens wrap the built form, softening its edges and ensuring that nature is never far from sight.
